In Homer’s epic poem the Odyssey, Odysseus and his men find themselves on the island of the Cyclopes (that’s the plural of Cyclops). Trapped in the cave of the Cyclops Polyphemus, Odysseus has to rely on his wits to survive. By the time Odysseus escapes the island, the Cyclops is blind-and Odysseus is cursed!
