Who was Cerberus in Greek mythology?

In Greek mythology, Cerberus was a three-headed dog who guarded the entrance (or exit?) to the underworld. Only the greatest and strongest heroes could ever find a way to overcome him. Heracles, also known as Hercules, wrestled him. Orpheus, the legendary musician, sang him to sleep instead. He is a regular figure in popular culture, and inspired characters like Fluffy from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Hunt for Cerberus and other Greek monsters in The Classical Workshop’s take on the classic game of memory match: Mythology Match: A Memory Game, perfect for kids age 3+!
