Who was Athena Parthenos in Greek mythology?
This coloring page was made to celebrate the partnership between The Classical Workshop and The Nashville Parthenon, a beloved cultural institution and museum dedicated to spreading the joy of learning and classics. The Nashville Parthenon is an exact reconstruction of the Parthenon, an ancient temple from the Acropolis of Athens. It even features a recreation of an ancient chryselephantine statue of the goddess. Chryselephantine is a fancy word that means “made of gold and ivory,” but don’t worry-no real ivory went into the statue in Nashville! Discover Athena and the other Greek gods of Mount Olympus in The Classical Workshop’s take on the classic game of memory match: Mythology Match: A Memory Game, perfect for kids age 3+!
